
We have planned some fantastic evening events for this year’s conference where participants can network and socialize. All these evening activities are part of the full conference fee, or the daily rate. As a new option for this year, participants can purchase additional tickets for the evening events for their guests.

Wednesday, May 20 – 6:30 – 9:30 p.m
The intrigue begins when you meet some of the colourful characters during the evening and while enjoying your meal. The plot thickens when a body is discovered or somebody you’ve just met…dies! A detective leads the investigation and questioning of the suspects who are spread throughout the room. You can question them as well and see if you can solve…WHODUNIT?!
George Brown College Staff will be taking participants by TTC to the theatre. Your trip on Toronto’s great subway line will be paid for by the College. Individuals should meet in the lobby of 290 Adelaide St. East at 5:45 p.m. to leave at 6:00 p.m.
If you plan to take the subway on your own, the Theatre is located 2 blocks north of the Davisville Subway Station, on the west side of Yonge St.
If you plan to drive, metered parking is available on the street (must be paid up to 9:00 p.m.), or you can also park at an outdoor metered parking, behind the LCBO Store at 1941 Yonge St. (just north of Davisville). Plan to arrive around 6:30 p.m. Please note the 3-course meal, coffee/tea, theatre performance, tax and gratuities are covered by your registration fee. Soft drinks and alcohol are extra and to be paid by the individual.

Hosted in the new Hospitality Atrium of the College we have set aside a specific time slot for our Vendors Showcase and Reception. This will give
participants an opportunity to visit with our vendors and sample some hors d’oeuvres from our Chef’s School at George Brown College.
Thursday, May 21 – 6:30 – 10:00 p.m.
This year our Awards Dinner will be hosted in the Metropolitan Ballroom at Atlantis Pavilions, at a magnificent complex overlooking Lake Ontario. As we pay tribute to our Award winners and enjoy a spectacular meal, and glass of wine. You will be able to take in some panoramic views of the Toronto skyline and waterfront.
Located at Ontario Place, this unique landmark location is a “must-see” venue in the City and a great way to spend the evening with fellow colleagues. A cash bar is available throughout the evening.
Buses will be departing from the College at 6:00 p.m. (participants can get on the bus at 5:45 p.m. If you plan to drive to Ontario Place from the College, drive south to Lakeshore Blvd, go west on Lakeshore Blvd., when you come up to Ontario Place, pass it and turn left at Jameson Ave., then merge back on Lake Shore Blvd. towards Ontario Place, go up the hill to the West Entrance (where you will be entering to get to Atlantis), and take the ramp down to Parking Lot 1 to park.
