Multimedia Services

Multimedia applications have redefined the teaching and learning process. They model the kind of educational reform that new education technology makes possible.

Video in classrooms promotes an innovative and reconstructed conception of education, taking learning far beyond the school walls. Videos are produced not only for curriculum and instructional strategy, but also to enable student-student collaboration, student-teacher collaboration, and teacher-teacher interaction. Please contact us for further information.

Media Server

Large files saved in Blackboard can slow down the server considerably. Anything over 30 MB should be put on the media server. This server will house any other new large files such as power points, audio or video files, etc.

If you have any new videos or other large files to be used in your Blackboard course, please contact David Mathewson (ext. 4704)at Casa Loma or Chilli Leung (ext. 6735) at St. James. We will put the files on the server for you and send you the URL for easy linking within your Blackboard course.
