
Curtis J. Bonk, received his Master's and Ph.D. degrees in educational psychology from the University of Wisconsin. As Professor of Instructional Systems Technology in the School of Education at Indiana University and adjunct in the School of Informatics, his awards include the CyberStar Award from the Indiana Information Technology Association; Most Outstanding Achievement Award from the U.S. Distance Learning Association; and the Most Innovative Teaching in a Distance Education Program Award from the State of Indiana. Curt is in huge demand as a speaker and has given hundreds of presentations around the globe related to online teaching and learning. He is author of the Handbook of Blended Learning: Global Perspectives, Local Designs (2006) as well as Empowering Online Learning: 100+ Activities for Reading, Reflecting, Displaying, and Doing (2008). Curt is President of CourseShare and SurveyShare.
Diane Zorn, Ph.D. candidate is on the forefront of using advanced Internet technologies in her teaching, including role-playing, webcasting, podcasting, chat rooms, wikis and blogs. She is a Course Director in the Philosophy Program, School of Arts and Letters at the Atkinson Faculty of Liberal and Professional Studies, where she teaches Modes of Reasoning, Business Ethics and Ethics of Administration. She also teaches Business Ethics at York’s Schulich School of Business. Diane, was awarded York’s University Wide Teaching Award in 2007 and the 2008 United States Distance Learning Association Silver Award for Excellence in Distance Learning Teaching. She has been nominated for the Council of Ontario Universities Teaching with Technology Award 2006, the Commonwealth of Learning Online Teaching Award 2007 and York University’s Atkinson Dean Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2007 and 2008.
Kelly Parke is a media architect based in Toronto, Canada. He has been in the media business for almost 30 years in a wide variety of positions. In broadcast media he continues to work nationally and internationally on production teams for live television broadcasts. In web media he has pioneered the development of several rich-media webcasting systems and has presented at Syllabus, Educause and other education conferences in North and South America. As a design consultant he works with media designers to create technology applications for large scale media projects. Currently he is working with the development group at Digital Learning to design new mobile learning applications.
